The Michigan Paint Horse Club Fall Color Classic Futurity was begun in 2018 as a way for Paint owners in the upper Midwest to showcase their young, talented horses. In its first year, the FCC Futurity paid out approximately $5,000.00 in cash and prizes. The 2025 payout was in excess of $10,000!
eligible to compete in the MPHC Fall Color Classic Futurity classes, the horse's sire must have sold in the prior year of the horse's birth year. That resulting foal crop is futurity eligible in perpetuity. For example: Stallion breeding is sold in 2026, foal is born in 2027, making all 2027 foals by the stallion eligible.
In this transition period, horse's by stallions that sold a breeding in 2025 and 2026 are eligible to show in perpetuity.
